Kerala



Kerala is regionally referred to as KERALAM. Kerala is a state in the south-west region of India. It was formed on 1 November 1956. Kerala is the state with the lowest positive population growth rate in India. Kerala has highest literacy rate that is of 95.5% of its whole population. Malayalam is the most widely spoken and official language of the state. 

The state capital is Thiruvananthapuram. Major cities include Kochi, Kozhikode, Kollam. A strip of land between the Arabian Sea and its perfect climate flirts unabashedly with the fertile soil, and everything glows. An easy-going and successful socialist state. Kerala shares its borders with Karnataka in the north, Tamil Nadu in the south and has the Lakshadweep islands to its west. Kerala over the years has evolved to become the greatest tourist place in India. Both domestic and foreign travelers flock to this beautiful place to witness the natural beauty and culture of this state.
