Union Territories of India

India is a federal union of states comprising 28 states and 7union territories. The states and union territories are subdivided into districts.  There are 7 union territories, including Delhi, the capital of India, and Chandigarh, the capital of both Haryana and Punjab. Delhi and Pondicherry differently from the other five.  Union territories and states are subdivided into districts.

Odisha

Odisha is also known as Orissa is an Indian state. Odisha state is surrounded by the Indian states of West Bengal to the north-east.  Odisha state is the 9th largest state in India, and the 11th largest by population. Odisha state was established on 1 April 1936. This state name is derived from Pali or Sanskrit words Ora (URA) or Odra Desa or Sumera or Odra Visaya. Both Pali and Sanskrit literatures mention the Odra people as Oddaka and Odrah, respectively.
